Newcastle's Outer West and North communities are gearing up for another round of support as the Local Community Partnership Fund announces its second phase of grant applications. Opening on Monday 19th February and running until midnight on Wednesday 13th March, community organisations in the target areas are invited to apply for funding to support a variety of projects.With a total pot of approximately £420k available for grants in Round 2, organisations can tap into £380k of revenue funding and £40k of capital funding to bring their initiatives to life.For revenue projects, there is a minimum grant value of £50k, with approximately 5 projects expected to be approved. The fund organisers are particularly encouraging larger-scale initiatives to make a substantial impact on the community. On the other hand, capital projects are capped at a maximum grant value of £40k, with 1-2 projects anticipated to receive approval.In this round, emphasis is placed on projects that serve the communities of Brunswick Village, Havannah Park, Oakwood Grange, and Newbiggin Hall. However, applications from any of the target areas will be accepted. We would also like to encourage projects that offer capacity building support to Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations within these communities, especially those focused on improving financial stability. The Local Community Partnership Steering Group has finished looking at all the applications. They&#39;ve given the go ahead to fund 22 projects. This decision comes after they met up in December and carefully looked at each application in detail. These projects cover a variety of things that will help make our communities better. They range from things like protecting the environment to projects for young people as well as capital projects to improve community buildings. So, there&#39;s something for everyone! The projects have been told they&#39;re getting the money, and now we&#39;re finalising the paperwork. Soon they&#39;ll start getting everything ready to make these projects happen. To keep everyone in the loop, there will be special sections on this website for each project. Here, you can check out how things are going and even find out how you can get involved. Whether it&#39;s taking part, lending a hand, spreading the word, or showing support, there&#39;ll be ways to get involved and make a difference in your community. Funding Approved for 22 Community Projects

Big things are happening! The Steering Group recently met up to carefully go through all the project ideas. They&#39;ve now decided which projects will move on to the next step—the full application stage. They have been advised that the closing date for these applications is 11th December 2023. After that date, the group will meet again to look at the projects in more detail and decide which ones will get funding. The chosen projects are expected to begin in mid-January, bringing some fantastic new projects to your local area.
